| 04-07-2006 - Making A Computer Purchase Decision
Saga Of A Laptop Computer Purchase
A few weeks ago, my son decided he needed a laptop computer. He did his laptop shopping right, studying, comparing, interviewing laptop owners.
- For several weeks he studied and compared Hewlett Packard Notebooks
with Dell laptops,
- When on the internet, he talked to friends on Myspace about what laptop they used,
- He even chatted with storeowners about their laptop recommendations, and
- He checked in with various friends and relatives concerning their satisfaction with the brand of laptop they owned.
I Ordered The Laptop Computer But He Will Pay Me Back
I offered to front the money so he could order immediately. Really, it's not that generous of an offer. I wanted to use my American Express® Rewards Gold Card so I could receive the Rapid Rewards through American Express.
In fact, I just transferred enough rewards to Southwest Airlines to pay for two round trip tickets to Boise, ID for our family reunion at Wallowah Lake in Eastern Oregon. The other two tickets I had to pay for.
How did I pay? You guessed it! I used my American Express® Rewards Gold Card so I could earn Southwest Frequent Flier Miles, but through American Express Rapid Rewards, could transfer points to my Southwest Airline Frequent Flier account.
Another frequent flier program possibility is Delta Airlines, where you can Save up to $125 on Delta airfare with the SkyPoints™ Business Credit Card from Delta and American Express
He plans to return to college, having become convinced of the benefits of a college education. At the age of 33, he now sees the importance of college if he is to make it in this life. Oh, by the way, just
check out Notebooks-Specials & Promos to help you to be ready for your return to college.

08-07-2006 - San Diego Vacation Destination Is Simply San Diego Hometown For Us . . .
We Live Where Others Come For Vacation
We think San Diego As Our Home Town, Family and Friends consider San Diego as Vacation Destination.
My brother and his kids and their families are coming to San Diego for that famous Southern California Vacation. They intend on taking the grand kids to some favorite San Diego destinations:
- The World Famous San Diego Zoo
- San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park
- San Diego Favorite Theme Park SeaWorld
- The Logo Theme Park LogoLand
- San Diego's Popular Destination Site Simply Called Old Town
We San Diego, A Great Hometown But They See San Diego, A Fun filled Place To Vacation
We see San Diego as a great place to live because of what we call the San Diego perfect climate. Our wonderful San Diego weather, especially during the winter months, is what we take for granted.
San Diego is where we work and rarely play. My wife works right on Point Loma overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The great panoramic view of the Pacific is glanced at on the way to work and on the way home.
So maybe we need to stay home in San Diego for our next vacation.

11-07-2006 - Want Poems About pastors That Pay Tribute To A Pastor . . .
A good source for pastor appreciation poems is Christianbook.com Home
I decided to start another ministry based website focusing upon another passion of mine -- Helping Churches Express Pastor Appreciation.
Not much there, but the address of my pastor appreciation website that is in process is http://www.pastor-appreciation.net.

13-07-2006 - Wedding Anniversary Celebration -- Celebrating 38 Years of Marriage Today . . .
Mini-Celebrations As We Maxi-Celebrate Our Wedding Anniversary
July 13 has rolled around for Aleta and I 38 times since we said our wedding vows to each other in Oroville, CA in 1968.
I believe that there are some mini-celebrations within celebrating one's marriage anniversary.
There is the mini-celebration that I even remember our wedding anniversary.
Of course credit goes to my wife on this one. She decided early on not the play the game of Seeing If He Remembers So I Can Pout If He Doesn't that she has seen some wives play each year.
So she gives me all kinds of hints along with very clear reminders of our wedding anniversary. The reason is simple -- she would rather celebrate the day than cry and complain that I forgot our wedding anniversary.
There is the celebration that we both can remember the day of our wedding from a medical perspective.
As a board certified hospice chaplain, I work daily with patients whose dementia began in their 50's. Most of the patients diagnosed with Alzheimers disease simply do not have the capacity to remember wedding anniversaries.
And finally is the spiritual celebration of marriage.
From reading the Bible passage on marriage in Ephesians 5 we understood early that our marriage was a picture of God's love for the church.
We both understand that our staying in love for a life time is God's grace at work in our marriage. If you were to ask me our secret to staying in love for a life time, I would say it is because we both understand the need to be good forgivers.
As we listen to the reasons people give for divorce, we should have been victims of divorce before our first anniversary.
I believe that happy marriages exist not for the lack of reasons to divorce but because the husband and wife determined to forgive one another daily.

20-07-2006 - Responding to an online income opportunity requires discernment. . .
I recently wrote out my concepts on how an online income opportunity became my career change motivation to lead me to developing an online Christian business.
My First Challenge: What Online income opportunity should I pursue?
Exploring online income opportunities came about for several reasons, prompting me to expand this blog into a full career change webpage describing my journey into the webmastering world.
I decided to outline the specific online income opportunity that I would pursue, describing my use of some decision making tools and techniques that I implemented that made my online Christian business Christian reality.
My Second Challenge: What career change motivation led me to develop an online Christian business?
Is there such an entity as a Christian business? I make a bold statement that some may not agree with but nonetheless, reflects my feelings about decribing businesses as Christian:
In fact, I do not believe there is such a entity as a Christian business. There are businesses run by Christians or businesses that serve Christians but being Christian is a spiritual privilege reserved for people -- a description of those whose faith is in Christ. Just remember that it is people who are Christian, not businesses.
My Third Challenge: How To Evaluate Career Change Motivation And Then Launch An Online Christian Business
Finally, I wanted to share the process of evaluating the career change motivation which led to my launching an online Christian business.
